The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium.
This website is partially conformant with that standard, meaning most of it meets the guidelines and some parts do not yet. We say that rather than claiming full conformance because the work is continuing. Areas we review include text alternatives for images, color contrast, heading structure, keyboard access, form labelling, and third-party content such as embedded maps and forms.
If something here does not work for you
We want to hear about it, and you do not need to describe the problem in technical terms. Call the Odessa office at (432) 333-7105 or the Midland office at (432) 682-1222, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Tell us which page you were on and what happened. We will respond, and where a barrier is confirmed we will fix it or give you the information another way.
What we are doing about it
Accessibility on this site is reviewed as part of ordinary maintenance rather than as a one-off project. In practice that means checking new pages and new images before they publish, keeping heading structure meaningful rather than decorative, writing text alternatives for images that carry information, and making sure anything interactive can be operated from a keyboard.
Some content on this site comes from third parties, including embedded maps and the online forms hosted by our forms provider. We do not control the code in those, and where a third-party element creates a barrier we will provide the same information or complete the same task another way.
Known limitations
We would rather list these than imply they do not exist. Areas currently under review include text alternatives on some decorative and logo images, heading order on a small number of pages, and the accessibility of embedded third-party content.
If you find something not listed here, telling us is genuinely useful. It is how the list gets shorter.
We treat a reported barrier as a defect rather than a request, which means it goes on the same list as anything else that is broken.
Getting what you need another way
Anything published here, including treatment information, office hours, directions, appointment requests, forms and payment options, can be provided or completed over the phone or in person at either office. This statement covers the website; for questions about physical access to either office, call ahead.
