Invisalign in Odessa and Midland, TX

Invisalign clear aligners straighten teeth with a series of removable trays instead of brackets and wires. Reznik Orthodontics offers Invisalign treatment at both the Odessa and Midland offices for teens and adults. The first consultation is complimentary.

Invisalign is popular because the aligners are clear, removable, and easy to fit into daily life. They come out for eating, brushing, and flossing, but they need to be worn as directed to work properly.

Most patients need to wear Invisalign clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day. At your consultation, the doctor will explain whether Invisalign is a good fit for your teeth, bite, and routine.

How Invisalign treatment works

  • The scan: Treatment starts with a digital scan. An iTero scanner captures the shape of your teeth and gums without a putty impression.

  • The plan: The doctor uses the scan to plan how each tooth should move. That plan is used to create your custom Invisalign aligners.

  • Wearing them: You wear each set of aligners as instructed before moving to the next set. Small tooth-colored attachments may be placed on certain teeth to help the aligners guide movement more effectively.

  • Visits: Routine visits are scheduled so the doctors can check progress, make sure the teeth are tracking properly, and provide the next sets of aligners.

  • After treatment: Retainers help hold the teeth in their new positions. Long-term retainer wear is important because teeth can shift over time.

Who Invisalign may be right for

Invisalign clear aligners can treat many cases of crowding, spacing, and bite correction. They may be a good fit for children, teens and adults who want a removable, less noticeable option and can follow the recommended wear schedule.

Invisalign may not be the best option for every case. Some tooth movements, severe rotations, complex bite problems, or cases involving jaw surgery may need the control of fixed braces or self-ligating braces.

The doctor will explain whether Invisalign or braces make the most sense after examining your teeth and bite. The types of braces page compares the options side by side.

Why orthodontist planning matters

Invisalign creates the clear aligners, but the treatment plan is designed by the orthodontist. That planning matters because tooth movement, bite correction, attachments, timing, and refinements all affect the final result.

An orthodontist completes additional specialty training in tooth movement, jaw development, and bite correction after dental school. That training helps the doctor decide whether Invisalign is the right tool, how the teeth should move, and what to do if the case needs adjustments along the way.

Dr. Megan Reznik, Dr. Derek Reznik, and Dr. Michael Reznik are board-certified orthodontists. See board certification for more information about what that credential involves.

What do Invisalign costs?

The cost of Invisalign depends on the case, not just the product. The fee is based on the amount of movement needed, the complexity of the bite, and the expected treatment timeline.

At your complimentary consultation, our team reviews the fee, payment options, and how insurance benefits may apply before treatment begins.

Reznik Orthodontics offers in-house financing with no interest, and $0 down may be available for many patients. We accept most PPO insurance plans, file claims on your behalf, and accept assignment of benefits when the plan allows. HSA and FSA funds may also be used for eligible orthodontic expenses.

The cost and financing page explains payment options and what the fee includes. Midland patients comparing aligner costs can also read the cost of Invisalign.

Living with Invisaign clear aligners

  • Invisalign aligners come out when you eat and when you drink anything other than water. Coffee, tea, soda, and hot drinks can stain or warp the trays.
  • Before putting the aligners back in, brush your teeth or rinse thoroughly when brushing is not possible. This helps reduce the risk of trapping food or sugar against the teeth.
  • Clean the aligners with a soft brush and cool water. Keep them in the case whenever they are not in your mouth so they do not get lost or damaged.
  • Each new set may feel tight at first. That pressure is part of how the aligners move the teeth, and it usually improves after the first day or two.
  • The two habits that matter most are wearing the aligners for the recommended number of hours and putting them back in right after eating or brushing.

Invisalign for teens and children

Invisalign clear aligners can work well for teens who can follow the recommended wear schedule. For younger children who need early orthodontic treatment, Invisalign First is a clear aligner option designed for growing smiles and developing teeth. Because the aligners are removable, consistent daily wear is important for successful treatment.

Invisalign offers several advantages for younger patients. The trays are less noticeable in photos and everyday activities, can be removed for meals, and allow patients to brush and floss without working around brackets or wires.

For patients who may have difficulty wearing aligners consistently, fixed braces may be the better option. The consultation helps determine which treatment is the best fit based on the patient’s age, bite, and orthodontic needs. The teen orthodontic treatment page explains the available alternatives.

What the fee covers

The Invisalign treatment fee includes:

  • The records used to plan your case

  • The Invisalign aligners

  • Routine visits during active treatment

  • One set of final retainers after treatment is complete

The fee does not include dental work completed at another office or replacement aligners and retainers that are lost or damaged.

Attachments may also be part of Invisalign treatment. These small tooth-colored shapes are bonded to certain teeth so the aligners can grip better and guide specific movements. They are removed when treatment is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is the informal guideline that aligners should be out of your mouth for no more than about half an hour at a time, which is roughly one meal. Aligners out for hours is what actually derails treatment, not the occasional long dinner.

Water only. Hot drinks can warp the plastic and anything with color will stain it, so take them out for coffee, tea and soda, then brush before putting them back in.

Call the office before doing anything. Depending on how far into that set you were, you may be told to go back to the previous aligner or move forward to the next. We will tell you exactly which aligner to wear next.

For the right teenager, yes, and the practice treats teens with aligners regularly. It depends on whether they are ready to wear them as directed, and we will talk that through together at the consultation. Teen treatment options covers the alternatives.

Sometimes, for a few days. Your tongue adapts to the thickness of the plastic and the effect settles. Reading aloud for a few minutes a day speeds it up.
